President Sukarno, Founding Father of Indonesia, was in Central Kalimantan on one occasion, directing the design of Palangkaraya to become the capital of the entire Republic. His design is still on the boards, and there is recent debate whether to move the entire governmental structure to that location. All three Islamic-based political parties have suffered losses in recent parliamentary elections. Furthermore, government workers complain bitterly at the overcrowding in present-day Jakarta. Significance of the First Ten Days of Zul-Hijjah

The First Ten Days of Zulhijjah are especially significant and are among the most magnificent days in the Islamic calendar. It is reported from Ibn Abbas (radhiyallahu anhu) that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaiyhi wassallam) said: “There is no day wherein any good action is more beloved to Allah Ta’ala than these ten days (the first ten days of Zul Hijjah)”.
