Europe’s ‪#‎Rohingya‬ Refugees from ‪#‎Myanmar‬ to hold a protest rally at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, calling for the prosecution of President Thein Sein and deputies for the crime of genocide.

The Hague, Netherlands: From 1-3 pm today, Europe’s Rohingya refugees from Myanmar/Burma will hold a protest rally at the International Criminal Court and officially deliver petition to the ICC officials in order to call the court’s attention to what renowned scholars, genocide researchers and international law practitioners call Myanmar’s slow genocide of the Rohingya. The European Rohingya Council, the Burmese Muslim Association (BMA), Burma Human Rights Network and a wide array of Rohingya support groups in Malaysia, USA, France, Germany, India, Norway, and S. Africa are supporting the new public awareness campaign.

Banyak yang telah diperkatakan tentang Perjanjian Perkongsian Trans Pasifik (TPPA) yang sedang giat dicanang Amerika Syarikat untuk ditandatangani menjelang akhir tahun ini. Pelbagai pihak khususnya Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Melayu (MTEM), gabungan-gabungan NGO – Bantah TPPA serta pertubuhan-pertubuhan Islam Bukan Kerajaan (NGI) – telah membuat pendirian jelas mengenai arah tuju yang sepatutnya ditempuh Malaysia. Gesaan mereka jelas – iaitu jangan menandatangani perjanjian tersebut oleh kerana pelbagai kesan yang tidak memihak kepada Malaysia sebagai sebuah Negara yang berdaulat.

Who decides what marriage is?

In the late 20th century, following substantial cultural and political developments, same-sex couples began to lead more open and public lives and to establish families. Now, the US Supreme Court has issued a majority decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, that all states must accept the legality of same-sex marriages. We must take heed of this decision because it may well have a global impact, and we do not want Malaysians to be misled on these emerging “liberal” changes to our religious teachings on the meaning of marriage. Rohingya’s – Human Rights in the Light of Ramadhan

The Chinese government has already disturbed the Ramadhan fasting of their Northwest Territories Muslims. They have forbidden it. In fact, the degree of invasiveness into the lives of the Uyghur Muslims people becomes even more evident with the Chinese government’s meal policies in Ramadhan. It has been widely reported that, “During the Islamic fasting month of Ramadhan, the authorities force Muslim schoolchildren to have lunch. State employees are under similar pressure.” Surveys found that those who conform do so to ‘conceal’ their faith. Continue reading
